Hi,

Ive been told I need to be in my job at least 3 months, and working a continues 6 months to apply for a mortgage which I’m a few months off. However, I have also been self employed 6 months but as I haven’t needed to disclose my income as yet, could I use this to AIS this from work duration ? Thanks

Hi, thanks for getting in contact.

The key thing here will be your self-employment as in order to verify this you will need 12 months trading and a tax return submitted.

Hi, if my wife applied for the mortgage with me and it was just her salary taken into consideration, would that work If we were to apply now? She is on maternity For 4 more months so would she need to be back in work receiving full pay for it to be calculated on her usual salary as it’s reduced at the moment.

Many thanks!

It will very much be lender specific and come down to the finer details...
